They have made some progress, with a 37% under control.
Evacuations and Safety
The gravity of the situation has led to the evacuation of more than 180,000 people. Mandatory evacuations have been imposed, especially in the vicinity of the 'Kenneth' fire. In addition, to protect the evacuated areas from looting, a curfew has been established from 18:00 to 06:00.
Research
Police are carrying out investigations to determine whether the 'Kenneth' fire was arson, and one person has already been arrested in connection with the incident. They have also arrested 20 individuals suspected of looting evacuated homes.
