To avoid problems in this area, all real estate brokers must know the laws and regulations that govern the management of funds in escrow.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Section 10145:<\/strong> General statute that regulates the management of funds in escrow.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regulation 2831:<\/strong> Maintenance of columnar records of escrow funds received.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regulation 2831.1:<\/strong> Maintaining separate records for each beneficiary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regulation 2831.2:<\/strong> Monthly reconciliation of escrow fund accounts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regulation 2834:<\/strong> Allows unlicensed, bondless signers on an escrow account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remedy:<\/strong> Deficiencies in recording funds in escrow often originate from two common problems among brokers.
